£28,000-£32,000 per annum
Wondrwall Group is a leading provider of intelligent energy technology, transforming homes into carbon-free, sustainable living spaces through innovative solutions. Since launching in 2018, we have redefined the landscape of sustainable home construction, making intelligent, carbon-free living accessible to all.
Our cutting-edge technology harmonises the supply, storage, generation, and control of energy, aiming not only for net-zero homes but also for the potential to deliver negative energy bills.
We have partnered with half of the UK’s top housebuilders to integrate revolutionary IoT, renewable energy, and AI technologies into new developments. Driven by our three core objectives—decarbonise, decentralise, and democratise home energy—Wondrwall is accelerating the UK’s transition to net-zero living.
Fuelled by a substantial £100 million capital boost, Wondrwall is poised for remarkable growth. This investment supports our ambition to create 100,000 net-zero energy homes in the UK and beyond, cementing our role as a global leader in sustainable living.
Join us as we lead the way in shaping the future of homes, creating a lasting impact on the environment and redefining how we live.
The Role
As a Field Support Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our intelligent home technology is successfully deployed and supported across new homes. Based in the Midlands, you’ll manage your own region—spending part of the week on-site at new-build developments and part of the week working remotely, supporting the wider team and handling technical queries.
Most travel will be within your area, with the occasional need to travel further afield. While overnight stays may occasionally be required, these are arranged in advance and fully covered by Wondrwall, including hotel bookings and travel expenses.
Day-to-day, you’ll be commissioning Wondrwall systems, assisting housebuilders with property handovers, and helping new homeowners understand and optimise their system. You’ll also provide remote support via phone and email when needed, helping us maintain high levels of service across the entire customer journey.
This is a varied, hands-on role—ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and providing excellent customer service both in person and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide field-based support across the Midlands for new and existing Wondrwall homes
- Commission systems on-site and support installation and handover processes
- Deliver product walkthroughs and support onboarding for homeowners
- Replace or configure devices where needed (training provided)
- Respond to technical queries via phone and email when working remotely
- Collaborate with internal teams to test, monitor and troubleshoot hardware
- Accurately log all support interactions and on-site activity
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Based in or near the Midlands
- Comfortable with regional travel and occasional (rare) overnight stays, fully arranged and expensed by Wondrwall
- Minimum 2 years in a customer-facing or field-based role
- Hands-on mindset and practical problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
- Organised, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
- Confident working independently and representing Wondrwall on-site
Desired:
- Basic electrical knowledge or experience (e.g. domestic wiring, installing devices, or working with home automation systems)
- Familiarity with modern domestic systems such as underfloor heating, heat pumps, boilers, lighting, and home security
- Interest or experience in battery storage, EVs, solar PV, IoT, or intelligent home systems
- Low-level formal electrical qualification or fault-finding experience
What we offer:
- £28,000 – £32,000 (Depending on experience)
- Company van to use
- All tools, uniform, and training provided
- Career development in a growing clean tech business
- Supportive and forward-thinking team environment
If you’re passionate about technology, enjoy working hands-on, and want to help shape the future of sustainable living, we’d love to hear from you.
